Long before microtargeting became a common practice, MSHC Partners was pioneering advanced targeting techniques for its clients.  Today MSHC Partners is the largest and most successful microtargeting firm serving Democratic candidates and progressive causes.

Our work includes using techniques such as CHAID and regression analysis to help campaigns identify likely voters, undecided voters and supporters.   We also model issues preferences to help campaigns and organizations find the voters who support their issues and believe those issues to be important.  Finally, MSHC Partners is a leader in the use of modern analytical tools to improve direct mail fundraising programs and find prospects on voter lists and other non-conventional sources.

MSHC’s targeting techniques have been pioneered by Hal Malchow, who was called “the mad scientist of American politics” by The New Republic. His work has been also described in the Atlantic Monthly and The New York Times. These techniques are described in detail in Mr. Malchow’s book, The New Political Targeting.
